Fall brings with it the changing of the leaves, spooky season and screenings of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." 

The 1975 cult classic movie, featuring Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon, has become a staple movie to show around Halloween with audiences even bringing "prop bags" filled with everything from toilet paper to prunes to throw during showings. Sometimes, performers will be used as a "shadow cast" to perform live as the movie plays in the background.

Saturday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m.

The Palace Danbury - 165 Main St.

What to know: Ticket includes both admission and a prop pack. Master of Ceremonies Frederick Secrease will be on stage to show participants "How To Rocky." No rice, toast or water guns allowed inside the theater.

Friday, Oct. 28 at 7:45 p.m.

Warehouse at Fairfield Theatre Company - 70 Sanford St.

What to know: Pre-show activities, including a costume contest and trivia, will take place at 7:15 p.m. Prop kits are available to purchase for $5. The venue asks attendees to leave behind hot dogs and prunes for this showing.

Mansfield Drive-In Theatre  - 228 Stafford Road

What to know: Admission is for each person. A shadow cast will be present on stage while cars are tuned into the movie on the screen. The RKO Army group will be present for a special pre-show performance.

What to know: This is a performance of the cult classic musical. No props may be thrown during any of the performances. The show is for adults only.

What to know: The RKO Army group will be present for a special pre-show performance, as well as to perform as the shadow cast for the show.

Waveny Park - 677 South Ave.

What to know: Prop kits will be available to purchase at the theater. Outside prop kits will be subjected to search. A live shadow cast will be on stage alongside the screening of the movie.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show 47th Anniversary Spectacular Tour

Thursday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m.

Shubert Theatre - 247 College St.

What to know: Brad Majors himself, Barry Bostwick, will be in attendance to celebrate the 47th anniversary of this cult classic. A live shadow cast will be on stage during the movie. A memorabilia display will be set up featuring props and costumes from the original movie. Prop bags will be available to purchase, though no outside prop bags will be allowed inside the theater.

Friday, Oct. 21 - Sunday, Oct. 23 at various times

Edmond Town Hall - 45 Main St.

What to know: Prop bags will be sold at the door but attendees are invited to bring their own bags. Both screenings on Saturday night will feature the Come Again Players, who will serve as the shadow cast alongside the movie. 

Friday, Oct. 28 - Saturday, Oct. 29 at various times

Bradley Playhouse - 30 Front St.

What to know: The Complex Performing and Creative Arts Centre will put on a live performance of the cult classic. Audience participation is encouraged.

What to know: All ticket purchasers will receive a medium popcorn.

What to know: This live performance of the cult classic musical is an adult-themed, interactive experience. Performances will be held on weekends only. Participation bags are available to purchase.  Throwable items may not be brought in. A pre-show dinner is available to purchase.
